About Us
Hi, I'm Elanor. Mama, maker and owner of Bloom Wildly Creations - home of my open-ended, nature-based wooden toys, handcrafted to inspire imaginative play.
I was fortunate to spend much of my childhood creating imaginary small-worlds with my sister and brother, and my appreciation for open-ended play has only grown since having my own kids.
I quickly grew to love the simplicity, timelessness and natural beauty of wooden toys after my daughter was born, and with no previous woodworking experience, I decided to have a crack at making my own. I have always been a creative person at heart, and combined with my love of imaginary play, this hobby soon became something more. I strongly believe that childhood should be filled with magical days of play, as it is through this that children learn. I hope to spread the joy of open-ended toys with other families, and help your little ones' imaginations bloom wildly.
With my background in ecological science, I also hope for these toys to encourage curious minds. I have spent over 15 years studying animals from the forest to Antarctic waters. I spent my childhood in Scotland, my teenage years in New Zealand and have since lived with my little family in Tasmania, Australia. I feel closely connected to the animals and ecosystems in each place, and hope to bring that connection and love of our natural world to young learners.
Thank you for stopping by my small business - your support truly means so much.
